Lamborghini Mumbai Women’s Day Drive

I’m not a blues singer, I’m a Diva.

— Nina Simone.

On Friday, 8th March 2018, Lamborghini Mumbai organised the Women’s Day drive. Flagging off from Taj Lands End Hotel, the entourage of Lamborghinis took the streets of Mumbai by storm. The participant cars included 3x Lamborghini Urus and 3x Lamborghini Huracan.

Ecstatic on hearing the news of an all Lamborghini drive, automotive enthusiasts flocked the streets for a glimpse of these magnificent machines.

Lamborghini Mumbai took a unique approach in the pursuit of empowering women. Supercars are usually considered to be a ‘man’s business.’ With the organisation of this event, Lamborghini Mumbai threw this stereotype out of the park. All participating cars were driven by female drivers further strengthening the agenda.

Coming to the actual event, the execution was done superbly. It was taken care that the normal traffic does not get affected on the day of the drive. The co-ordination between the cars was pretty well. No enthusiast was left disappointed on that day!

Make Specs Great Again

As title suggests, this post is going to highlight some of the most tastefully specced cars in Mumbai. Covering all vehicle classes, we’ll be focusing primarily on the specification of the car.

Kicking this off, let’s discuss the best specced Lamborghini Huracan in Mumbai. Painted in a shade belonging to the Ad Personam program offered by Lamborghini called ‘Oro Adonis.’ The bling theme appears to be recurring on this car as the Raging Bull logo of Lamborghini on the wheels is ornamented with diamonds.

Next up is probably the best specced Bentley Bentayga in India. Part of the Jio Garage, this car is painted in a shade called ‘British Racing Green‘. The name itself holds a rich history of Bentley’s Racing Section and it’s achievements. Complimenting the beauty of this exterior, is an aptly chosen Beige coloured leather adoring the interior of this machine.

To celebrate it’s 50th anniversary, Lamborghini launched a limited edition Gallardo LP 550-2 called the ‘INDIA SERIE SPECIALE.’ In true Lamborghini fashion, the India Serie Speciale sports Aranico Borealis, Bianco Monocerus and Verde Ithaca (translated as orange, white and green, representing the Indian flag) stripes running down the center of the bonnet, roof and engine lid.  It also boasts a ‘India Serie Speciale’ plaque near the driver seat quarter glass. Adorning the car are the special Lamborghini Cordelia Rims. With a limited edition of 6 cars for the production, spotting one brings quite the joy.

Cars and Coffee – October 2019 Edition

Kicking off this series of ‘Cars and Coffee’, we’ll be covering the highlights and other entries (if any) around the Supercar scene in Mumbai.

Let’s start this month’s coverage with none other than the car on the cover. Ferrari 488 Pista, the more aggressive and track focused version of the rather ‘normal’ Ferrari 488 GTB. In simple words, this car can be described as 488 GTB on steriods. Kudos to the owner for driving this car all the way to Lonavala and back already. Oh! That too during harsh rains. There’s one thing clear, this beauty is not going to be a garage queen for sure.

Behold, the latest entrant to the supercar scene in Mumbai, Dodge Challenger RT. The unusual plates you ask? That’s because sadly this car is on carnet. Our team got a chance to get up close and personal with this car and it looks menancing in person, to say least.

The american brute is followed by Porsche’s track weapon for the road. Frequently spotted during early hours of the day, Porsche GT3RS comes in as the next highlight. It takes an expert to maneuver this car as it’s front lip sits low enough to scrape at almost every other Indian speed breaker. In conclusion, this month was eventful to say the least.
